Café Internationaal was founded in 1928 for sailors coming back from a long journey at sea. The interior is that of a typical Dutch Bar, with relics from a time when the Dutch went into the world by ship from Amsterdam. The bar's style remains authentic to its history - an old harpoon hangs from the ceiling, alongside flags from across the world and photos of Amsterdam from throughout the years.
The bar is well visited by locals and visitors alike, and the bar's international character is always visible. A selection of beers from around the world are available in bottles and on draught, and sports like rugby and football are always playing on the big screen.
